Even today across counters of thousands of hardware stores, scores of end users insist on " Orange", referring to the orange colored hacksaw blades.

Our brand name , and the registered name of our company viz. Miranda Amsaw Pvt. Ltd are derived from our former parent company Miranda Tools. For the past several decades, Miranda Tools has been the market leader in cutting tools.

HISTORY

At the saw blade division of Miranda Tools, we realized in mid 90s that our product quality had to be globally competitive, if we wanted to sustain and grow our business in the long term. We needed a "technology partner", for our products need special purpose proprietary-technology machines for their manufacture. Manufacture of saw blades also needs a high level of process and product innovation on a continual basis.

It was American Saw & Mfg. Company, USA; a global technology leader in saw blades and maker of the famous "Lenox" saw blades who endorsed our potential and agreed to partner us in India. The saw division of Miranda Tools was thus hived off into a joint venture company and started to operate as an independent entity from July 01, 1997.

In course of time, we became a fully owned subsidiary of American Saw (Lenox), USA. Our parent company in the US viz. American Saw (Lenox), USA was later acquired by Newell Rubbermaid Inc., a fortune 500 company. We thus became part of the Newell Rubbermaid group on Jan 01, 2003.
